Suggest me some cool app for todo list or calender

I want app which i can use for store todo list something like calender entry first i liked google calender whose ui is pretty neat but it need chrome & gmail access so if there is any cool offline calender app for windows then plz suggest me

there is no problem with google calender but i heard it need gmail & google chrome which i don't wanna install bcoz im firefox user & i want offline calender

thanks for rainlender suggestion. i tried it very good app but skins are not cool but it serves the purpose
