Suggest good PC games where I can use Xbox 360 controller?

I'm looking for games with native controller support and performs well using the controller.

Yes, I know I can use Xpadder for almost all PC games.

What games are playable and performs well using Xpadder?

Thanks.

What genres? Any GFWL certified game supports the Xbox360 controller natively, even displaying the buttons correctly. In my experience Assasin's Creed II, Darksiders, all codemasters racing games (F1 2010, GRID, Dirt 2), Just Cause 2 support it. I wouldn't know about any RTS or FPS games that do, because I use KB/M exclusively for those games.

Bioshock and Portal work well with the 360 controller, those games are not twitchy enough for you to really need mouse + keyboard.

You can use it with Left 4 Dead and Crysis if you really want to, but you'll be at a real disadvantage.

F1 2010 probably has the best Xbox controller integration I've seen.

Fifa 2010, Grid 2...

Just about any new game has Controller settings.

qft about the l4d and crysis

while i do just fine with the 360 controller..not as much as id like.
it just doesnt give me that added accuracy that a mouse entails

did anyone say
Batman AA?

i know

Trine has support
the Serious Sam HD series
most splintercell games

on steam most games tell you wether they support the controller

The best use of the 360 controller I have used is Batman Arkham Asylum (it's on sale today on steam for $7.50 BTW) you can swap between key and mouse to the 360 controller on the fly, which is awesome cause while you are out on the map key and mouse is 40 times better, but in combat the controller is way better. When the game tells you what button you need to push, once you swap it updates in the game to the new botton control right there on the fly. They did a very good job with it

Third person action games:

Batman Arkham Asylum
Darksiders
Dead Space 1 and 2
Devil May Cry 4
Just Cause 2
Resident Evil 4 and 5

And racing games:

Dirt/Dirt 2
Grid
Need For Speed Shift

And lots of others, in both categories.

I would suggest:

Super Meat Boy
Batman Arkham Asylum
Darksiders
Dead Rising 2
Devil May Cry 4

Just Cause 2 is much better with a mouse and keyboard in my opinion.

Assuming the game has a decent mouse-input system, to play a FPS without mouse/ kb is so full of fail, IMO. With that said, Bioshock's mouse input felt like complete shit, when it was just released. There was so much emphasis on the X and Y axis, you could've sworn that it was built with a controller in mind. Not sure if future patches addressed this.

Why anyone would want to intentionally cripple their capabilities (by means of reduced accuracy, etc.) is beyond me, and totally defeats the purpose of playing that particular game on the PC (barring better graphics).

I'll make this easy for you, any game on PC that also was released on Xbox is going to have perfect controller support so just check to see if those games were released for Xbox 360 and you're set.

better graphics, price and convenience is why i use a controller on my pc.

This is not entirely true.

A few exceptions I'm aware of:

Oblivion
Dragon Age II (at least the demo didn't)
Bioshock 2

Batman: Arkham Asylum, Darksiders, any of the Codemasters racing games (DiRT, GRID, F1 2010), Super Meat Boy... those are the ones I'm playing right now.

There are some first-person shooters too, but meh, I have no reason to recommend using a gamepad for those. 🙂

XCOM Enemy Unknown
Euro Truck Simulator 2
Farming Simulator 2013

If you're Steam user the Big Picture update now has a tab for controllers with gamepad support.
