Suggest an independent phone repair place in San Diego?

I'm in Georgia and my sister is in San Diego, CA. She is distraught after learning that Apple would charge $199 to replace her cracked her iPhone XR (black) display. I told her she'll probably want to use a third-party repair service, even though Apple does some sneaky stuff to discourage third-party replacement. Can someone suggest some affordable + competent places in San Diego?

I get the feeling everything on Google / Yelp is ranked based on paid promotion, so they're probably not the most affordable.

Not covered by AppleCare? Id be weary of third parties replacing the cracked display, even if it is cheaper. Cough up the $$ and let Apple replace it.
Check listings in Craigslist/Offerup/FB Marketplace and find out how much they charge. Maybe also local fix-it-up places that can do it the same day.

Well that would definitely encourage Apple's anti-consumer practices.

Yeah. I gave her a phone number for "uBreakiFix" because it's the only national chain I know of, but I don't expect the price to be competitive with an independent shop. I also wouldn't want to pick a random independent shop without a recommendation from someone who used it.

Can’t imagine much cheaper than 150$. Parts, and someone’s time and shop to do the repair? It’s not a 10 minute thing. I think Apple is winning based on sheer volume of repairs. The last iPhone I had someone get repaired around here cost them 115$, but San Francisco is easily 4.7x the COL of here.
