suggest a UPS (uninterrupted power supply)

i live in Bangladesh; here UPS with 15-20min backup is a must with a pc. my system is,

processor : athlon 2000+ xp
motherboard: msi kt4 ultra
ram : 256mb kingstone pc2700 333bus
video card: msi geforce 4mx 440 64mb 8x
liteon 48X24X48x cd writer etc.
samsung 52x cdrom
56kbps us robotics external dialup modem
15" samsung monitor (planing to buy a 17" flat)
etc with a 300 watt power supply.

in Bangladesh most UPS are found made in china/korea/thiland. they are 500va/650va/1000va. which one should i buy? do you guys know any good brand name? i want 10-15min backup only. what should be the va? please help quickly.

www.apc.com has a power-needs calculator that might help.

For 10-15 minutes and the 17" monitor you'll be buying I'd guess at least a 550 va and a 650-750 would be even better.

A feature to look for is AVR = automatic voltage regulation. It means that you have better protection against power "dips" or "brownouts" where power drops but doesn't go away completely.

APC, Tripp-lite and Belkin are all good brands here in North America.

@nd Apc. I have a 500va model and it gives me alot of time to save. About ~15 for my 300w PSU computer.
