my fat ass wore my couch in 4 years, so I want to get a couple recliners, starting with one, then the get the other later.

Should I get a Laz-y-boy, Lane, ? Leather? I'm thinking $500-$700, maybe a little more.

considering Flexsteel...the chair I was looking at said regular price was $1200, but it's on sale for $899. the fabric one was $699. is leather worth $200 more?

Also, is the a website for furniture deals? I tried searching and it seems that no prices for flexsteel are available online.

Wow, if you're going to spend that much, spend a little more and get an Ekornes.

I lusted after them but was too cheap to spend the money but my late wife Jessie gently and persistantly urged me to go for it and we got two -- the same color and model as in that ad picture, but with a lighter wood. I researched and bought them over the net. This was about 5 years ago and I got by far the best price I could from some place in upstate New York for $1275 apiece delivered (list about $1500 then w/o delivery).

They come in a WIDE variety of subtly different styles, with your option of different wood shades and leather grades.

They're made in Norway, they're classic, they WILL last forever, they're dead nuts comfortable, and they're beautiful. I've certainly never regretted the purchase. As always, as always, as always, Jessie was right!

Btw, I think la-z-boys are overstuffed fugly Buick LeSabre with fake wire wheel hub caps type furniture. I don't even think they're all that well built, to tell you the truth.

Nice, but I need something with builtin otoman. Pluse I would like to keep my budget at $500-$700 if possible. I will definetly look at them seriously though.

Damn, those look very comfy.

Maybe when I get out of college, and buy a house... 😉

Those ARE Ekornes recliners, just sold at the Scan store. Stressless is a registered trademark of Ekornes. And I agree, comfy! 😀

I saw this nice leather Flexsteel recliner in a store today. I really liked it.

Now...can I get a better price online somewhere??? and will I be happy with leather???

ummm, yeah not that color actually. I was thiking camel or blue or maybe green.

and actually that color looks ok to me...I'm almost 40!

so? 40 doesn't mean you've gone colorblind, right? (if you're colorblind, i didn't mean to offend--my dad is CB Red/Green)

yeah, I'm not colorblind. I really don't care that much about color though. I want black, but was told by the SO that black is out. also, she is trying to talk me out of leather. .....the leather one felt nice

leather as opposed to what other fabric options?

Upholstered. cloth velour looking material. here is a photo

Leather.

If it's well made, it's as durable as fabric, feels nicer, and definitely looks better on that recliner.
