Suggest a quite case for this build

After much research I've settled on my new build. Primary usage is playing online poker and multitasking. I also do some software development part time (windows dev on visual studio 2008).

Can you suggest a cool and quiet case for this system? Looking to spend up to $200 (in Canada).

Intel Core 2 Quad Yorkfield, overclocked slightly to 3.4 GHz
Gigabyte EP45-UD3P
XFX Radeon HD 4870 1GB
Radeon 9250 PCI video card (to power additional monitors)
G Skill 8GB 4x2GB 800 4-4-4-12 1.8V timing
Intel X25 50GB SSD drive
Cavalier 1TB 7200rpm HD
Corsair 750TX 750W PSU

Ok, silentPC Reviews suggests Antec P183 as a good quiet case. Will this keep my system cool enough? I plan to use a high quality cpu heatsink/fan, but worried about the video card temps. on the 4870/90.
 
An Antec P183 or Sonata both would be pretty quiet cases. They have enough airflow to keep you cool enough since you're using an aftermarket heatsink, but if you were using the stock HSF or overclocking higher, I'd recommend a different case. As for the GPU you could add an accelero S1 with a quiet 120mm fan or a scythe musashi to keep it cool while being quiet. I'd definitely recommend for that because if you use the stock cooler in a case like that it's going to run warm and the fan speed will increase which can be kind of loud on those cards


Also unless you've bought it already the 750tx is kind of overpowered for your setup, a 550vx would be plenty of power
 
Thanks for the info. I looked into the Sapphire Vapor X 4890. Apparently it's quieter and cooler than most high end cards. I can get one for the same price as the XFX model. Question is.. is it as good as an aftermarket gpu cooler?

I read good things about the Antec CP-850 model on silentpc. They are dirt cheap for a 800w supply, and run quiet at low usage.

Change of plans. I'm building a i7 920 system. I do a lot of video encoding (camtasia), and hyperthreading and more memory bandwidth should help with that.

On that note, is it possible to build a reasonably quiet 920 system? I plan to overclock to atleast 3.6ghz (I hear it's a great overclocking chip).

Yes. Either stay at stock speeds and use a typical 120mm air cooler with undervolted fan, or overclock and go liquid cooling.
 
It is possible to overclock on air an stay quiet if you buy a good cooler. The Noctua NH-U12P would be my choice.

Of course, liquid would but much quieter, providing you can afford it.
