Mobo: Nvidia 750iFTW
GPU(s): 8800gt SLI currently, will need this PSU to run a GTX295
RAM: 8GB Corsair Dominator
CPU: Q6600 (Usually @ 3.4GHz)
Case: Coolermaster HAF
HD: 500GB Caviar Green

I currently have a Corsair 620w, but before I spring on the GTX 295 I definitely want to upgrade in the watts department (unless the 620w will work, but I'm doubting it). Any recommendations? My only request is that the PSU be modular.

Any help would be awesome! On a completely unrelated note, if anyone wants to answer this, when do you guys think SSD's will get to be reasonably priced for higher storage? I really, really want an SSD, but I can't bring myself to spend 600$ for 240g of space, no matter how fast it is >.>

For your setup with a PSU calculator it's at ~ 445w, so Corsair 620HX should be plenty. I used GTX295 single card with overclocked Q6600 at 3.4GHz, and assumed you have 4 sticks of ram.

WOW

Really? This is awesome news, seeing as watercooling turned out to be WAY more expensive than I thought.

I checked your case (is it 932?) and there a few 230mm fans on that one. I still think your still fine as far as power, but do you know how many watts each of those fans draw (if you have them)? If so how many are in the case? Those are some pretty large fans. :p

Edit: I guess there is (3) 230mm? I can't imagine they draw more than 10watts each, and probably a little less than that. So maybe 30 watts max.

923, Correct.

3 120mm fans, one 90mm

Also, does a water-cooling pump/radiator draw more watts?

EDIT: Also, why does extreme calculator show my load at 907 watts? o_O

Must be doing something wrong.

The calculator does not give you your load but recommended PSU size. You probably put the card as SLI.

You'll probably use about 50-150w (peak) more with the 295 gtx, but you shouldn't have any problems with the 620hx. Now if your PSU is getting older 3+ yrs, than you might want to consider an upgrade in a year or two. Most PSU's lose about 5-10% peak power, due to capacitor aging, but that is just an average, your mileage may vary.
