Suggest a project for a Phenom II system

Hi guys,

I finished fiddling with my Phenom II rig I'm ready to incorporate it into the horde. However, I only got ~7k PPD during Folding trials and it just isn't worth it with such a power guzzling machine. What other projects are out there that run very well (better?) on AMD systems? I remember reading somewhere that Correlizer is one of them.

I have a Phenom x3 and a Phenom II x4 940 running Correlizer and together they do 3.2K to 3.5K ppd.

Right.

Keep in mind that ppd from F@H is not anything like ppd in BOINC projects.

Also, keep in mind that we are #1 IN THE WORLD BABY in Correlizer but Seti.USA is only 32 days out! Your contributions to Correlizer would be much appreciated 🙂

After I tap out 1M in WCG and Malaria Control I plan to refocus on Correlizer. Or if Seti.USA gets too close 😉

OK, excuse my noobish questions, but how do I join Corellizer? The website appears to be down at the moment.

Copied from their website:

Before you start

The sequences (compressed input files) used by this project are around 50 to 75 megabytes per file. These sequences will be stored on the clients system and are not removed when a task finishes with the calculations for a workunit. The server will send a notice to the clients that will automatically remove the sequence when it is not needed anymore.

Read our rules and policies.
This project uses BOINC. If you're already running BOINC, select Add Project. If not, download BOINC.
When prompted, enter

If you're running a command-line version of BOINC, create an account fist.
If you have any problems, get help here.

The certificates used on this site are self generated, to remove the untrusted certificate authority notice you could add the following ca in your browser, or just accept the certificate itself (but then the notice will stay).

We would like to thank you for your support in advance and will keep you updated over the results and scientific outcome on this website as well.

Thanks a lot.

Edit: joined the TeAm and crunching the very first WU.

In honor of you joining Correlizer, I have put my main rig on it as well for the next 48 hours or so 🙂

Normally I don't use it as I share a nice home office with my wife and the WAF is incredibly low 😛
