Suger-Free Gum - Warning

Thats what it says on the back of my pack of gum ...

Anyone know why?

the Phenylalanine/Aspartame will decompose into methanol/wood alcohol= bad for you...assuming it already isn't...but that's another topic

I believe that's at like 150F though, or maybe it's 80, pshh w/e the first part of my reply is true.

alright, just thought it was funny on a pack of gum 😀

I did a quick of google and just found a pic of some guy taking a torch to his gum, but it just looked like melted gum.
