Sugar Glider.................should I keep it?

My wife (or exwife to be) brought a sugar glider home from work(she works at a vet clinic, and some one brought in a sugar glider they had found).

It seems like a really neat animal. I was wondering if anyone else has one of these creatures.

being that my fiancee is a zookeeper, i am somewhat biased in favor of keeping it, provided you can adequately provide suitable housing and food. i don't mean to imply that you wouldn't take care of the glider, but instead that you might not realize the special needs that an exotic pet requires. nothing irks me more than people who take in or buy pets only to neglect them after the newness wears off (again, not saying this is you at all).

please snap some pics and post or PM me with links to pics - mel (fiancee) used to do rehab with sugar gliders and i'm sure she'd get a kick out of the pics. and, if you decide not to keep the glider, please let me know - we would probably adopt him if you needed to find a good home.

Make sure you have another sugar glider to keep it happy so it will not get depressed. If not you will need to keep it with you as much as possible. They are very social creatures and need lots of companionship.
