I'm looking to buy a new system consisting roughly of these parts:
Antec Nine Hundred
DFI LANParty UT 790FX
AMD Phenom 9700
2x Asus ATI Radeon EAH3870-G-HTDI-512M HD 3870 512MB GDDR4 DVI HDMI PCI Express 2.0
Corsair 4GB (4 x 1024MB) PC6400 Dual Channel DDR (QUAD2X4096-6400C5DHX) XMS2 C5 DHX
2x Western Digital Raptor 150GB WD1500ADFD 16MB Cache 10,000RPM (running RAID 0)
Thermaltake CL-W0121 Bigwater 760i Liquid Cooling System
Akasa AK-188-BL Cold Cathode 12'' Dual Pack - Blue
Viewsonic VP2030b 20'' LCD Monitor
That's roughly it. Now how much power would I need? Ideally the PSU has a blue light in it! Just for effect really. But doesn't matter that much. I've been looking at the Kingwin 800w[See Here]. Notice its modular. The blue light's nice. But modular is really necessary for me. Is that too much? Alternatively I could go with the Antec P190 case and use their 2 PSU system, one of which is hardly being used and the other is being used heavily (doesnt make sense). Who prefers the Nine Hundred over the P190? Anyway. What do you reckon is the best modular PSU for this system? I know its pretty expensive, but I don't care. I want the best that ATI and AMD have, and the best of what's out there! So price aint a factor. Although cheaper is nice. Performance first, price second, in order of priority.
All advice appreciated.
