Suffering brain lock - printing problem

I have come across this problem before and have fixed it, but for the life of me, I cannot remember how I did it.

W98 system: Printer works fine. Does everythig that is wanted ............. except print web pages. Everything comes out either scrambled or else gibberish at the top and bottom of he page, center is blank.

HELP!!
 
It is possible if not inevitable that web pages won't print properly. See if there is a link to a "printer friendly" version of the page somewhere on there or just save the page to disk and open it in an HTML editor or word processor that is HTML aware to print it. That is once you've made sure the printer driver is OK, and that someone hasn't selected a different printer within your browser (which sometimes gets locked until changed).
