Suddenly unable to comment w/ my near 10 yr old account that used to work 100% fine bc everything is "apparently spam"...

Basically the subject line. I'm unable to make any comments on the main page (aka outside the forum) using my near 10 year old account of the same name ("Cooe") due to them universally failing some check as being "apparently spam" when they most definitely ARE NOT!

... So did I get comment banned or something??? I can't think of ANYTHING I've ever posted that would even remotely justify that, but I'm just trying to figure out what in the freaking hell is going on here... 🤷

Strange indeed, I noticed at first that this post itself was awaiting moderation approval, like it thought it was spam or something. One thing that can trigger the filter is if you edit your post too much, but I don't think that is the issue here. Maybe @esquared or @allisolm could take a look, but I don't know if they would be able to help on the main page.

If this is is for the main page for anandtech, there's nothing we can do
from the forums end. These are two separate entities.
If you have a twitter or FB account then possibly make a post on Anandtech's two accounts and see if someone can help you out.

Are you using a VPN or another multi-user scenario (like a workplace internet service or public wifi) where it's possible that some other user on same IP # has been misbehaving?

If not then I'd try creating a new account. I don't know what's important to you, but to me, maintaining the same account name outside of a forum does not seem as important. How about Cooe2?

Is it possible this is some change where all new members' first post has to be approved? I know of a few forums that have implemented that... but they at least give the staff a heads-up!

He didn't have an account on the forums at all until yesterday when he started this one. The account he's having problems with is his account at the main site and we have nothing to do with that. There has been no change where all new members first posts have to be approved.
