Question Suddenly Fried GPU? Broken PCIE slots?

I was testing a 3050 on my PC and it worked fine, still works fine when plugged in. I went to plug back in my original 6600xt into my PC and now it wont boot anything on the monitor. The only difference I could tell between them in the 3050 doesn't have PCIE slots but the 6600xt does. I've tried reseating it multiple times to no avail, and I'm completely lost why the 6600 would suddenly not work after working for 3 years just fine. Any ideas?

Fixed sorta, I swabbed to the bottom port on the motherboard and now it boots, Curious to why the top slot still works with one card and not another still.

Sorry, Life got in the way of replies...
its a b450 tomahawk. I hope it isnt toast, I was hoping it wasn't since it's been running fine in the second slot. ill have to look into looking for blown caps I suppose.

Installed a new B550 and still no top slot, I also installed a New CPU and still no top slot

You said that the 3050 still works fine in the top slot, but the 6600XT only works in the bottom slot.

Both 6600XT and 3050 graphics card are PCIe x8.

The bottom slot on that motherboard, although has the length of an x16 slot, can only do x4 (maximum).

So when using the 6600XT in that bottom slot, it runs in x4 mode.

This would suggest that there is something wrong with the other 4 lanes on the 6600XT. Maybe just the contacts.
