suddenly can't access shared folders...

On my internal network here at home, I have shared files so I can stream DVDs etc, but for some reason I cannot access anything on my main computer. I can see the shared folders, even when I created a new shared folder, it showed up on another computer that was on the network.

But when I try to access it, it is giving the normal not accessible message, telling to make sure you have rights etc... but the strange thing it says is "Not enough server storage is available to proces this command". Strange...

All of the computers are on XP, this one is XP pro. I can access folders from my XP MCE machine fine. There are no firewalls being run, I even closed down my AVG Anti-Virus... any ideas?

Thanks a lot in advance!

Did you install Norton AntiVirus or AVG 7.0 on the computer recently? If so, you may have encountered a known bug with the installation process and your fix is located here:

I've also seen that happen when the Temp folder on the "server" is full or the computer does not have memory resources it can allocate to share the files. This can happen because the computer is out of disk space, or there are too many files in the Temp folder and Windows is unable to delete them for some reason to make room. It can also happen if the swap file on the server is corrupt, or if programs are using up all of the physical and virtual memory so that Windows does not have any more resources available to fulfil the clients' requests.

Yea I got the same thing after I installed the new AVG anti-virus software. The fix linked to by fardringle did not fix my problem. I wound up uninstalling AVG and going with Avast instead.
