I suddenly loss all network/internet access with one computer. I have a network with a router computer A loss access while computer B works fine. I tried bypassing the router and put the dsl line direkt into the nic card but no luck. I also tried a new nic and still nothing. Then i removed my old hd, put in a brand new and installed win xp pro and tried to connect and still nothing. Win xp fins my nw and says its working fine. I am running out of options. Could I have a nasty virus and if so how can it prevent me even with new hd? Or could it be my motherboard thats not function proparly? Everything else works fine with my computer except finding a network/internet acces?
Would be very greatful for respons, I am going crazy.

If you swapped NICs and even put in a new drive with a fresh install and it still doesn't work.... I have no idea. Could try putting the NIC form the not working computer into the working computer and see if it works. Won't fix the problem but can rule out certain pieces of hardware as good or bad.

Found out today it was a broken port on my router. When i used the line directly from modem I should have changed from optain ip adress automatic since i have Static IP so thats was the reason that didnt work. Well finally I am back online with both my computers.
