I was taking a shower this morning after the rare gift of 8 hours of sleep and suddenly I started thinking about pro life culture in this country out of nowhere.

By forcing those who can't afford children to have them while simultaneously cutting the safety nets our government provides the only recourse those individuals will have for food and shelter is more likely to be a charity, perhaps a christian charity.

This provides a strong level of influence to make those babies christian. Keeping them poor also makes it less likely they will obtain a level of education sufficient enough to release sky wizards don't make any sense.

Then I started thinking about how evil it actually is to have so many charities in a country that are directed to individuals in that country rather than abroad. They only exist for three reasons:

1. We as a society have decided we want to maintain a certain level of suffering by funneling resources to a select group.

2. We as a society relish in lacing the charity we give with the propaganda of whatever group is providing it.

3. We as a society love to be able to discriminate in our charity so that non Christians or non whites or whatever get left out.

If we provided for our citizens without having to use charity then everyone would get what they need without having to be or pretend to belong to the sky wizard club associated with that charity.

This explains why many conservatives talk about helping those in need whether it be medical or food should come from the church and not from the government.

I then started thinking about other strangeness such as many sky wizard clubs believe that evolution is not real and they try to change education to make others believe the same.

I think it is funny because every action a sky wizard group takes is the product of non biological evolution.

A living being needs shelter, food and water. A sky wizard club needs belief, money and government influence and every action they take is to increase the intake of those three things. Of course a small segment of the highest level sky wizards also requires prepubescent boys, but that is a discussion for another day.

The last piece of insight I had before the shower ended was since there is no hell and most religious based punishment is illegal in this country (stoning, hand chopping off, burning witches ect...) they try to create hell on earth whenever they can by enforcing brutal prison sentences without rehabilitation and pushing for death penalty laws via barbaric painful means to try and pretend there is hell as a result of wrong doing to strengthen sky wizard beliefs.

That last point with the hell on earth even I thought was weak at best so I semi dismissed it.

So while enjoying the pleasure of your own company in the shower you...
successfully deluded yourself into believing pro-life is a vast right wing conspiracy to create poor people, cause they totally vote Republican.... :colbert:

I don't think it had anything to do with voting but rather everything to do with growing their religious following.

Quite the theory though:p

You might want to look into left and right brain thinking and the strengths and weaknesses of each. Trust but verify. Remember too that left brained people are assholes about right brained thinking as half people are wont to be.

I used to think about weird stuff in the shower too.

Things like "What if publishers clearing house was at my door right now and I'm in here in the shower?"

You should run naked to the front door and fling it open just to be sure.

It took you THIS long to notice the dichotomy in the US between "pro-life" pre- and post-birth? Damn!

I don't think there's anything other than good ole hypocrisy behind it either. Nice white christian people don't want to pay taxes, but they want to appear christian. There you go.
