bought one for my mom on woot! for christmas for the same price. the vacuum cleaner had a few scratches on the front brush cover mounting screws. other than that it looked new. She is pretty happy with it. Works a lot better than the POS $60 VC she had for 4 years. It's worth every penny IMO. BTW, same thing at Sears (I work there) is $450 :)

Picked one up today, can't wait to use it. Hopefully it is better than the old Dirt Devil I have.

i'm sure it is, old vacs are worn..and old

that being said, while being competent dysons never top the charts of consumer reports for a reason, they are just competent while looking flashy.

frankly - if you ask me, i think this deal really sucks!
(sorry, i had to say it).

i've used the dyson - it certainly works as well as other moderate priced vacuums i've tried. the nice thing is that when the dirt container gets full it doesn't lose suction, unlike bagged vacuums and other bagless models i've tried.

I have a DC14, and still prefer my Eureka Recoil more...just because the cord has a recoil. It's an amazing feat in vacuum engineering! Ohh, and the sucky action is good too.

I just got a DC 25 directly from Dyson-the NDA is up and I can finally talk about it. Its amazing, the ball tech makes getting under beds and around corners really easy. The tech is improving and if you wait a month or so the older models will get even cheaper than this.
