If I want to add 2 more fans for my casing(1 front , 1 back) shall I :

1: suck the air out for both fans ?

2: blow air in for front fan and suck air out for back fan?

3: some cases have 2 fans slot in front, shall I get this? Or shall get i get those cases with 1 fan slot both front and back?

4: What fans is quiet and good?

Thanks.

Hehehe...
if you put a thread with this title in off topic.......

;)

You should put one fan in the front to suck the air in
And one in the back to blow the air out. :D

You might want make sure the fans that are sucking in or blowing out air are fairly large so you get some good airflow. :D

The best fans that are quiet but good are Panaflo fans. Most of the forum would agree with that statement.

Sunons are powerful, but not as quiet as Panaflo's. :D

But remember, the more fans you have, the louder your case becomes. Make sure you can tolerate it. :D

9lives,

To keep the noise to a minimum when the fans are not needed, you should look at a baybus or a rheostat. They will allow you reduce the power to one or more fans at times when the extra cooling is not required. This will also cut down on the noise.

You almost get the best of both worlds: great cooling and little noise.

i am afraid of the size, some fans are bigger. I afraid they wont' fit with my case.

from what i've seen, most cases have 80mm fan holders/slots/whatever. you might want to use larger fans which push more air per db they produce. in that situation you'll have to mod the case drill a new larger hole for the fan as well as new holes to mount the fan, unless you tape it on or something.

Try measuring the dimensions of the hole that the case has for the fans. A hole with an 8cm diameter is an 80mm fan. One with 9.2cm diameter is an 92mm fan. And so on. (Correct me if I'm wrong here folks. ;) ) I hope this helps. :D

I want to add one 80mm fan, because my case only got 1 place to place a fan, And it's on the bottom front. Should this fan suck air or blow?

Well, I think the logic here is since hot air rises, you'd want to intake air at the front/bottom, and exhaust it at the top/back. So you would want a fan to suck air in at the front/bottom, and blow it out at the back/top.

And try to have positive air pressure inside the case. So, if you have the incoming air filtered, that will keep dust from getting in through the other holes in the case.

just a dumb question, what if you had like 4 fans blowing air out of the case from all angles and no air going in. the fans would have a hard time but what would your temps be like?

Directed air flow (in from the front, and out the back) across the cpu is much more efficient.

Yeah you got it front in rear out.. label side is almost always the direction the air will blow from too (not saying you didn't already know that but..) also adding a blow hole on the top can help even more because heat rises and blowing air through the top of the case is a very logical solution to heat problems..
