Maybe I just got lucky, but the MBNA to BoA transition was a smooth one for me. No way am I closing this credit card though, its my oldest account.

They'll automatically cut you a check for the credit balance in 6 months.
And then the account holder could rinse & repeat.

The MBNA to BofA change is still confusing to me. I go to mbnanetaccess.com and end up on BofA and they ask me to sign in with my old usr and pw. What is the point? I can sign in as the normal BofA customer I am and use bill pay to pay the MBNA card. I just add it as one of the payees (B of A credit card).
If I go through MBNA/BofA they ask me for the account and pin number of my ATM card. WTF.

Besides that they called yesterday and said there were 15 attempts to take 1 cent from my checking account so they blocked the card number. That was good because today I could see an attempt to take $500 from the account and the action had been reversed.

3 mins ago I got another call but trhey just put me on hold for 10 mins and then the call dropped. In the mean time a voice repeated 'please hold for a very important message from Bank of America'.
