Suck ISPs IP from Netgear Router???

I have a RT311, but the situation should be the same for a RT314 also. I have also asked this of Netgear Tech Support, but haven't received a response yet. I was wondering if anyone knows of a way, or utility to suck the ISP acquired IP address out of this router, so I can publish it on my home page. I know there are utilities to do the publish, it's just the getting that I am working on. I want to be able to ssh to my debian 2.2 box at home, but am not always assurred of what my IP is. I have toyed with the idea of setting up a cron job to run an expect script to extract the IP,
(Expect a telnet session to option 24/1 and get the Client address), but wondered if there is a cleaner way, or if a utility already exists.
