%#$@&! - Such a sad day..

My HD went down today and I lost around 15k RC5 units. 🙁
Something that I can't recover unless I feel like voiding the warranty on my HD or paying $1200 for recovery..

Just thought I'd post about it...

Makes a strong case for a reliable linux pproxy eh? -
Sorry to hear about that... 🙁
I'm still getting over losing Grover. 🙁
This is just plain depressing

Bad thing was I was going to flush this morning, but I only needed around 300 for 15k, so I waited. My mom ends up turning off the PC so I go ahead and put on the defogger kit for my CPU and had to disconnect the HD, and when I try to reboot, the HD is dead because a pin on the PCB of the HD for the power connector became loose.

I could, but that would risk voiding the warranty for it, and I'd be out $150. I'm trying to find another way..

Jumper it! Its just one pin right? Carefully lay a staple across the lead and stick a piece of tape on (if you can). Just fire it up long enough to make that dump!

.. Tried it and nothing happened. Guess it had something else wrong.. OMFG! I can't believe this. I've now learned my lesson..

Flush every damn day.. :|

Back to the 3.4GB HD for a while now..
But on the bright side.. only 15 days until I get another 15k ready. 🙂
