Success rate in Internet Connection Sharing a PS2

I bought my son a PS2 today and a few games. We bought him a computer already and a wireless G card. The computer as you can guess is going to be hooked up via wireless. I bought a crossover cable to hook up the PS2 to the computer via ethernet. Will this setup work with internet connection sharing? Am I going to run into issues?
