my Logitech Z560's subwoofer started making this buzzing sound today...and i dont believe it ever made this sound before.

even after i turn off my speakers the buzzing continues through the subwoofer.
i have to unplug it for the buzzing to stop.

is it blown out?...
i dont think it could be because i never really pushed the system...

help...

Its probably something else you have electrical turned on in your home.

Mine buzzs when we use the hair dryer.

Or you may have what is called a "ground loop".

Im nowhere near an expert on solving ground loops or explaining them.

Im sure doing a search for ground loops on this forum will turn up some useful info & tips.

In general, try to keep all your audio setup plugged into the SAME outlet, this can help prevent ground looping.

My speakers have a contant buzzing as well, after some investigation I found out that my speakers were intercepting a radio station (I think it is NPR) and that was the cause. On really bad days, I can even heard the people talking on the radio!! The only way I can get it to stop is to either turn off my speakers, or re-arrange my speaker and sub wires, I think it must have messed up the signal because with certain wire setup's the buzz is gone. I don't have the z-560's (I have the cambridge soundworks PCWorks 2.1) but it may be the same issue

It is probably a 60cyle hum just for kicks if you have any cable outlets in your room disconnect them to see if it stops the buzz, also try a different outlet..if the problem continues hook the speaker up to a portable cd play or somthing to see if it is infact the sub..if not you may have to buy an isolater.

good luck
