Why do most of the sub threads totally overlook Steak Escape? Is it an east coast only thing?

Steak Escape > Subway or Quiznos. How can you argue with meat cooked just for you? Mmm.

And the fries, Steak Escape has the best fries of ANY fast-food place.
 
I still voted Quiznos because I don't like Subway and I don't know what Steak Escape is. 😛
 
Steak Escape is actually WAAAY better than both.

Steak Escape doesn't really do club sandwiches, though, do they?
 
Instead of steak escape, you should replace it w/ "local mom & pop sub shop," 'cause that's where I go to when I feel like getting a sub.
 
I've lived in Maine, Maryland, Virginia and North Carolina and never heard of that place.

I grew up in North Carolina and there were at least 3 spread in all of the major malls where I lived.

Ever been to Raleigh?

They just built a steak escape in a stip mall a few miles from my apartment. The place is fuckin good. Steak Escape > Quiznos and subway, plus they serve beer which is always nice.

i've heard of steak escape, that was when i went to newark international airport to fly somewhere but never tried them though.

No Steak Escape in many states, including mine. So if I had to choose between Subway and Quiznos, I pick Subway. Quiznos food taste strange for some reason and is way more expensive than going to Subway.
 
we have one at my mall, the subs are decent, maybe even good, not great. They do have some delicious ass French Fries. Their Cheesesteaks are tasty but don't really taste much like a Philly one to me.

in California = Phillies Best owns all, they don't have selection, just steak and chicken cheese steaks but man oh man are they GOOD.

 
Never heard of Steak Escape. Quiznos is twice as good as Subway, for twice the price. Firehouse Subs is a good median.
 
It's a tie between subway and Quiznos. Each makes equally good subs, it depends on what you are in the mood for.
 
Subway makes the worst sandwiches Period. I laugh every time someone says Subway is great, cause I know they have never had a real sub....
 
I've heard of Steak Escape, but I didn't think it was that great. I like Quiznos better, and my local sammich shops a lot better!
 
Never heard of Steak Escape. I've never been a big fan of the way Quizno's cooks their subs. Subway is decent enough in a pinch but cheap as hell with the fixings. I'll take the $5 subway sub over the $10 Quizno's anyday.

D'Angelo's > Jersey Mike's > Subway >Quizno's
 
To this day, I still cannot believe how many people like Subway at all. It's pure garbage. Soggy/stale bread, old and yellow lettuce, only 1oz of meat, but hey, you can get all the veggies you want. Whoop-dee-do. And I've unfortunately been dragged to many different Subway locations, so it's not just a local problem.
 
Quiznos used to be really good. Subway is ok but like mcD's. I think I trimmed back on subway during there fat commercial blitz a few years ago. Trivia: there are more subways than mcD's.

jersey mikes is very good.

Don't see subway/quiznos as competing with steak sub places.

Subway is a lot cheaper then Quiznos but nowhere near as good ... neither one compare to my favorite Italian deli.
