they are little stamps that u get when u buy a sandwich; not all places give em out...basically 6 of them = 6 inch for free

Most subways (all the ones I've ever gone to) have little stamps in the register.

They give you one per each 6" sandwhich that you buy (2 for a foot long). You paste them in a little card they give you.
Collect 8 (one card) and get a free 6" sandwhich when you purchase a regular drink
Collect 16 (2 cards) and get a free footlong when you purchase a drink.

Sometimes they automatically give them to you... some won't unless you ask when you're paying.

hahaha.. I know
But I get my stamps by eating Veggie subs with no mayo/cheese :9
I get to splurge once in a while.

I don't get the greasiest one on a regular basis.
I just wanted to the most expensive one there for once
