Anything can work if you eat little enough and excercise. There is NOTHING magical about the subway diet.

Any diet that involves eating low fat food and excercise will work. Its the regular excercise that's the key -- anyone will lose weight.

hey thats my name!!

The subway diet leaves out 1 thing, fruits...so you'll be getting scurvy (unless they think sprite counts as a fruit)

Just make sure you leave off the mayo (and maybe cheese) and eat only the veggie subs. Otherwise it would be completely pointless.

But Jared's diet doesn't include mayonaise. If you read the fine print on those subway diet ads, it says that the sandwiches that claim less than 7 grams of fat don't include mayonaise, oil, or cheese. So you still get scurvy unless you drink 2 liters of sprite a day. :D

Oh yeah, as for your question, a lot of it depends on your initial weight as well. Obviously, it's much more difficult to lose 20-25 lbs when you're only 120 lbs than when you're 300 lbs. Unless you're fairly large, 20-25 lbs is actually quite a bit of weight and will easily take at least 6 months of heavy commitment (i.e. exercising and eating right).

go to subway.com if you want to read about Jared's diet. I personally wouldn't do it, but he lost over 250lbs in less than a year. 150lbs of that didn't even involve exercising - all he did was eat Subs.

You can be on a 5 Big Mac a day diet and still lose weight if you exercise right.

Skoorb is right... nothing special about Subway, exercise and a healthy diet are the only way to a healthy body... no way around it.

i'm actually trying to gain weight. I'm 5'10'', maybe 5'11'' and only weigh about 140. i'm trying to get up to at least 150 or 155lbs.. The more i eat, or the more i work out, it just seems like the faster my metabolism goes, so that i can ever put on wieght. I hate being so small.
