Hello This is my first post here
please bare with me if this is not the right place to post..
I just dont know where else to post it

Recently i downloaded few movies.
The movie itself is .avi
I can watch it fine.
but in the folder there was also a .sub file
when u open it with wordpad, you can actually see the text that movie players will say

What i want to know is how i can make them work so that i can see subs in the screen
Thanks!

firstly, you should not say things like "i downloaded a few movies" because that's illegal but i will pretend they're non-commercial home videos in a foreign language and answer your question.

download and install VobSub from here

use a player like Media Player Classic or BSPlayer

i couldnt get media player to work with subs initially but played movie in WinDVD and subs started playing. After that media player now plays them
make sure subs in same folder as movie
