Substitute MB for KT333?

Storm & power outage. Can't tell if Athlon XP 1900 or GA7VRXP MB went south.
Unhooked all except MB, Ti4200 Vid card. Push power sw and chip fan spins a couple secs and stops. Tried several different times.
Get start of video on boot, then all dies.
Any way to tell which compenent went bad?

Can I sub anothe MB like an Asus A7V333 if mb bad?

Unhooked all except MB, Ti4200 Vid card.

Did you have the CPU (with HS+F) and ram in there too? If not might try that. Make sure no modems are installed too.

You're gonna have to start swapping parts to pin it down. I don't know of another way.

I start with PSU, then go to gfx card. Unless you have access to another cpu it's gonna be tough to tell if mobo or cpu. Course, I can see you don't have another mobo.

Might look everything over for any scorch marks, etc.
