Subscribers deserve an answer - Do away with it why?

I am just hearing about this, and I am shocked.

I am good until December of 2003, another 96 days....at which time all the speculation is that I will go to some sort of ad based account? With none of the capabilites I have now?
I dont want people posting what they think is going to happen...or what they heard....I would like an answer form someone who can verify things.

I am willing to pay what i do now, or a bit more for the subscriber priveleges, but if the ads show up i might as well go to the other 500 forums out there that are free.....
Someone should really step up and answer some questions!

There isn't much point to subscribing anyways... the only reason subscribing was brought around was because the free servers got bogged down too much at one point...

Well, for those who actually search for things before they post, it can be useful, because the non-subscriber search page is not very useful (i.e. polite way of saying it sucks). N.B. that I'm not complaining that us non-subscribers don't get the same things that subscribers do, I'm just pointing out a reason why I'd subscribe if I had a CC and thus was able to do so easily.
