Well, I hate to sound like an ass, but it seems a 8 year old is running this forum. They promise things such as "subscriber features" like a chat room style dealy, and other such things, then never deliver. Then anyone who pays money and something happens where they can nto access the subscriber server and e-mail support. They get no answer. Then they post in FI and get no answer.

So we have:
1. "Fibbing" on features coming down the pipe
2. Paying, but not getting support that you paid for
3. Servers that go down making it impossible to post if you subscribe.

Does that abotu sum it up?

<---- was a subscriber. Not going to resubscribe till Anand or whoever runs this place pulls his/her head out of their ass.

I wasn't attacking you, just the people who whine. Take a look at the Forum Issues thread thats 150+ posts. God knows how many people in there are moaning and bitching about "oh fvck AT, we deserve answers, I'm never going back to this Nazi run forum again". It's pathetic. Now that those pussies have what they want maybe they can stfu, pay their money and surf the forums again "ad free".

I will not. It is critisizm and 100% totaly true. I will not be quiet just because someone can ban me. This is an issue that needs to be addressed. If no one says anything, it will never be fixed.

I was a subscriber too. It ran out. I'm not sh!tting my pants like everyone else is. You're right - the support seems rather lackluster - unlike 90% of the people who whined in that thread I mentioned, I visit FI daily and help out when I can. I know what goes on. But 90% of those people b1tching are not b1tching about an of the 3 things you mentioned, they're b1tching about how they deserve an answer or something totally unrelated. I'm going to take a shot in the dark and guess the forum outages the past two days has been to re-add hardware or whatnot to get the subscriber stuff back up.

Why would Evad get banned for saying that? Go look in that thread I mentioned in FI. There is much worse being said over there. Evad has been a positive contributor to the forums for a long time. He's just stating his opinion.

Yep and I have even publically volunteered (cannot find the archived thread) to manage/customer service the subscriber service.

I agree that the subscriber crap was just that. Crap.

Lots of stuff was promised. I even tried to subscribe once, but the system wouldn't let me subscribe under DurocShark, and I never got a response from the e-mail I sent. So I left it at that.

Since then I've watched and read and realized that the money basically paid for a bigger PM cache.

Whoop de friggin do. $30 a year so I can be a slob and not clean out my PM box? Fagittabbouttit. As for ads, so what? I just get 404 errors when at home (I guess the Google taskbar is blocking them somehow?).

Mix that with the long spell of bannings, thread locks, and such without any info to the rest of us as to why the action was taken so we don't do whatever it was ourselves, and I don't think I'll be subscribing ever.

I should add that the last couple of thread locks I saw either had explanations, or were so glaringly obvious that my 12yo son could figure out the reason. So I'm glad that's changing back to the way it used to be. So there's hope!!! 😀
