Just saw a display with these subnotebooks. This is better than a PDA ever could be!!

Does anybody have any experience on these? I'm interested in one that runs about $1000 at 1GHz, Windows XP Pro, 1024x768x16? display, 256MB RAM, 40GB hard drive, and DVD player. I'm looking at alternatives and would like to know whats out there. Would like to get under $1000 if possible for something that is similar, but I want it to be in the subnotebook class.

Thanks in advance.

I bet in half a years time all subnotebooks will be using ULV Pentium-Ms. It's inevitable.

The 1GHz Crusoe hits me as an equivalent of a P!!!-600 which is more than enough power for my needs.

I wonder what kind of clock speeds that Pent-M will be in the subnotebooks. They run on less juice than Pent-4M but my impression is that they still work awfully hot compared to the Crusoe.
