Submitting short stories?

I've always enjoyed writing, and I thought it would be fun to write up some stories and have other people read or rate them or some junk. Anyone know of a good place where such exciting action takes place?

I don't know, check someplace like egroups.com. There might be a group that shares and rates stories. If you troll newsgroups, check those too. Other than that I don't know what to suggest. Good luck searching.
