You know the 10X10 grids that everyone buys boxes in for the superbowl?

So among a bunch of other desperately unlikely numbers, I had Raiders 1 & Bucs 1.

2 freaking seconds left in the game, and Rich Gannon throws his 5th interception of the game which is promptly run back for a touchdown....

I know what you mean, I had 0 and 8, game ended 1 and 8. Ironically, my friend was bitching when the numbers were given out saying they sucked and the sucka winds up winning...

Take a 10 X 10 grid (100 squares). You then sell the individual squares to everyone at the party. They can be anywhere from $0.25 to $10 a square (It can get much higher when serious gambling is involved) depending on the number of people playing. When you buy a square, you write your name or initials in the square. Once all of the squares have been bought, you then assign the numbers. Each column is randomly assigned a digit (0-9 and each is used once) and then each row is assigned a digit (0-9 and each is used once). The Y-axis will represent one teams score and the x-axis will represent the other. In fact the numbers represent just the last digit of the score.

At the end of each quarter, you see what the score is and whoever owns the box that corresponds to the last digit of the score for each teams wins. Each quarter has an associated payout with the final score being the largest.

In my case, we had $2 squares and the payout was as follows:

1st quarter winner: $30
2nd quarter winner: $40
3rd quarter winner: $30
Final score winner: $100

I have quite a few boxs, but none of them were even close to winning me any money until the 4th quarter when 1 & 1 came up.

@#$#@$@#$@!! Stupid Rich Gannon! :|
