Subaru Impreza S203

Hit the MENU button on the bottom right.

Based on the WRX STI and features a raft of mechanical and cosmetic changes. Externally its set apart from lesser models with a new rear wing, a front lip spoiler and BBS alloys. But its the work carried out under the skin that will set pulses racing.

Engineers have fitted a larger turbo, aspecially developed titanium exhaust and a retuned ECU along side a host of other upgrades.

The result is a 320 BHP power output and 422 Nm of torque. <---this is almost always 'conservative'.

Extensive chassis modifications and specially developed tyres are claimed to improve handling, and sources close to the project have hinted at a 0-60mph sprint time of less than 4.5 secs.

The only changes inside come with the addition of 2 fully reclining Recaro seats.

The S203 will go on sale in Japanese showrooms next week, with a production run of 555 examples and a price tag equivalent to £23,000. A handful of cars are likely to come to the UK through independant importers.

mmmmmmmm

all of a sudden i want a more powerful car.. dont ask me why.. but i want to buy something RWD that is safe but really fast that i can push..

i guess i miss the speed, cant wait to hit the motorcycle when i get back to LA. I cant wait to do 85 in a 35 before i know it.

Man, cars are getting faster and faster... Soon enough just about every car over $20,000 will do 0-60 in less than 6 seconds.

The Evo 8 FQ400, thats what...

It's more or less been scrapped. The R34 Z-tune has 500hp the Impreza and Evo have been courting 320hp for quite a while(the S202 was around 320 as well).

I personally see no reason to have the agreement. I just want Banzai power.

The R34 Z-tuned is Nismo right? that's why it doesn't follow the agreement. Also the Z-tune Z is the same. at any rate, bring on the power!

i never understood the 276 agreement in the first place.

Don't the motorcycle manufacturers have the same thing now, but rather a 'top speed' agreement.. something like none of them will produce bikes that top 187, or there abouts?

Yah, you can't help but want to rip that thing right off the hood... and I have no problems with hood scoops usually.

Too little, too late, now all Japan has for sports cars are 4 cyl turbos... Imagine in the days of the 300ZX, Supra, 3000GT, and RX-7 if the ban had been lifted? Those all would've been 400HP cars stock 😛

wouldn't suzuki have already broken that then? The Hayabusa's top speed is over 200mph...

What I'd really like to see is an STi wagon, and just a tad bit more legroom in all Impreza models. The wagon's just a more useful car-- you can fold down the seats, it's got more headroom, etc. I also don't understand why the wagon is slightly skinnier than the sedan; it's got the same wheelbase length, etc.

They do bring over the (new) skyline. It's called G35.

I wish they brought over the silvia, too. There's a petition online about that...

The last couple of years have been limited.

But they still claimed 276-280 back then even if it weren't so.

yep, we've got horsepower wars and I think it is fabulous.

Nice, thanx OP, I'll reserve judgement till I see one in person, but I think I like the body styling of the '05 WRX STI better. SUBIES!!!
