*.sub subtitle files and DivX???

What are those *.sub files all about?
How can I use them when playing a DivX movie?

I'd recommend gdivx player (divxcity.com) when there are subtitle files. If you want to use windvd or something, you need to have dvobsub installed.

The .sub and .idx file need to have the same name as the movie, and then when you start the movie, the player that is capable of playing subtitles or dvobsub will pick them up directly and transpose them in the video. If you want to edit subtitle colors or timing, you need vobsub.
