Sub Par Raid 0+1 Raid Performance ?

I am in need of some advice 🙂 I think I am suffering sub-par raid 0+1 performance on my new box . System specs -->
Tyan S2466 Dual Amd mobo
2 x 1800 cpu
1 gig Reg. Ecc ddr
Soundblaster Live
Promise SX4000 with 4 - 120GB 8MB Cache 7200 rpm Maxtor drives in 0+1 config using 64k stripe size. Raid controller with 128MB sdram.
Radeon 9500PRO

Here are 3 screenshots of the benchies - not nearly as good as I was hoping 😱

test 1
test 2
test 3

I am using Windows XP with the raid partitioned 4 times . Right now we use this machine to play games , mostly BF1942 , transfer files (mp3's,iso's,photo's ) and surf the web a little .

My main questions are -->
Would raid 5 be faster ?
What would be the ideal stripe size ?
Please give me suggestions - it seems this should be a little faster 😀

Thanks :beer::beer::beer:
