goosemaster...

What speakers are you running with your Athena Sub? (Matching Athena Speakers?)

Also...did you check out the subs made by SVS? I just got my new SVS 25-31PCi (22Hz opt tune) and this thing is probably the loudest cleanest and most accurate sub I have ever listened to (I also got my new Ascend Acoustic Monitors, yesterday, which blend seemlesly to the SVS after I calibrated them).

One of the kids I work with has a POS car, but has two 12" subs. He literally runs them so loud his car is shaking and rattling. I personally see no need for that. The stock sound system in my car is good enough. I don't need heart palpitations to remind me that it's bass I am hearing.

I believe goose's athena is a hometheater sub?

Personally, I am not a big fan of subs in cars. I feel one 12 or one 10 should be good enough...but when you get more in a enclosed space the distortion and rattle make is sound like crap.
