sub $50 heatsink

I'm getting ready to sell my computer in hopes that I will get above $1000 and build a mini itx system inside a cm elite 120 and overclock the 3570k to 4.5ghz, I have put together all the parts and I am at $957, without the heatsink.

So I need to know what is the best cpu heatsink that can overclock the 3570k to 4.5ghz under $50.

the maximum height of the heatsink can be 2.5 inches, or 65 mm
if there is nothing under $50, just give me one that would work, and I'll try to get the extra money

The cm elite 120 might not be the best case choice if you plan on overclocking a 3570k to 4.5ghz. I'd suggest you take another look at m-itx cases.

Good low profile cooling solutions are far and few between. 65mm max doesn't give you much to choose from.

Well, you would buy a cheaper model that didn't come with the second fan. I've seen the low end Zalman LQ-310 (or whatever model# is) for $30 after rebate at least twice this year. I think you may have to remove the HDD bays to fit it, but with many going SSD and no ODD, it can work.

Nah. It's perfectly fine In fact, it's pretty good if you just want a small, quiet cooler and don't mind an extra degree or two of heat.

the xeon is already very cool, so i don't mind, thanks! you just saved me money!
