Without researching the AMD processors, I went and purchased a brand spankin new Slot A Soyo Motherboard. Then, I purchased a 1 GHz T-Bird off of another Anandtech member. Problem is, the board is slot A, and the CPU is Socket A. Ouch...dilemma. Now my only other recourse is to either purchase a new board, -OR- Do any of you know if they make a slotket type device for such an occasion? Forgive if I sound ignorant, but I dont deal with the AMD's at all usually. LMK, otherwise someone is gonna have to call into work tomorrow and take a ride to the city just to get a board 😉
