stupid xbox question

ok, so as always, i'm way behind the curve here, but what else is new ... ?!

for about 6 months now i've been running winxp mce and using the media extender software on my xbox to get to all that lovely digital media content on my pc. however one thing is missing - can't stream dvd's from the pc to the xbox. come to find out there is an open source project out there that can do this, but it requires a modded xbox. i don't really feel like hacking my current box, but i guess there are a number of vendors out there who sell pre-modded units. so, the big question is, does anybody know about any of the modded xbox sellers, and can anybody recommend one? i've got to say, i'd really love to be able to store my dvd's on my pc hard drive and stream 'em to my home theater.

are you willing to pay for someone to mod for you? i ran across a few sites b4, but they aren't cheap, total cost = ~(all the original parts+ extra parts +100 labor) but yeah, if you can afford it, its much easier.
