Reposted from OT because I'm an idiot who can't pick the right forum after being up 24 hours straight . . .
I bought a Jaht G adapter from Newegg for my PC. My wi-fi router is nothing special; it's a Network Anywhere (Nowhere? ) NWK11B from a combo kit. When I have WEP enabled, the PC can see the router just fine, has a great signal (until I move Friday the router is sitting about six inches from the PC). But no matter what I do it won't connect. I've tried multiple WEP keys, typed them in several times just to make sure that I wasn't typing it wrong, but no go. With WEP disabled, it works great.
Now in all honesty, WEP doesn't make a big difference to me after next week or so, because the house I'm moving to is surrounded by cornfield, but figuring out WHY this isn't working would be nice . . . is it because the router and card are different brands? B vs. G? Or something else?
Found some interesting info about my router . . .

It's like a spy movie . . . "Router, if you are sold at Wal-Mart we will disavow any knowledge of your existence . . ."
