Stupid Vista question

I'm trying to get my explorer (file) folders to keep the same view and properties? For example if I have a root folder called Pictures, I would like all other folders beneath it to keep the same properties. In XP I used to go into "Tools, Folder Options, View" from there I would use option to keep the same view for all folders. For some reason in Vista this does'nt seem to always work.

Has anyone else had this problem? If so is there another way to set folder options?

congratulations..and welcome in the world of vista, same problem here. I assume it always reverts to something else for NEW folders, but i am not sure. I have no idea why some folders show my settings as i set it (details) and others wont. I already set this 1000x times but its mere a random thing.

Hopefully one of the future patches will address this.
