So I have a massive document of shapes and I've removed a few, and added a few. All of the shapes have numbers, but they are now out of order because theyve been shuffled around.
I want to renumber the shapes, but Visio doesn't want to cooperate.
When I goto Tools--> Add Ons --> Number shapes and select "Manually by clicking on shapes" as the method to number, I then put in a starting number of 1 and a value of 1, so that Visio should start at 1 on the first shape I click and then count up by 1 number on every subsequent shape.
After I do this, and go click on the first shape it will give me a 36, or a 13, or some other number other than one. I tried renumbering the first several shapes manually, and then regoing back into tools and renumbering via manual clicks but without any success.
I cant find anything on Google. Has anyone else seen anything like this at all? Short of renumbering a huge diagram manually, is there a solution?
