Stupid trends in men's fashion

Couldn't be bothered to watch the video, but why is men's fashion any stupider than women's fashion? The basic concept of fashion is really pretty (well, seriously) stupid if you ask me. I have no problem with "design", but "fashion" - as in the popularity of any given "design" (or group of them) at any given moment that changes with absurd frequency, most often at the whim of those selling the shit - is one of the more annoying, if perhaps less truly significant, aspects of a fundamentally capitalist economy...

It's not a serious discussion of all men's fashion being stupid, it's pointing out particularly STUPID men's fashions. In particular, the turtle-neck wearing guy who carries a scarf anyway for some reason and wears a blanket while carrying a purse and some useless non-insulating glove made me laugh.

Edit: Billy linked to the time-stamp and Ichi corrected the title I see.

I'd have to care what other people think first before I change much in how I dress. I just dress enough to not stick out like a sore thumb and prefer my neutral colors. I noticed people that like to gain attention through their fashion rarely tend to get the most positive of thoughts from others. Like when pajama pants became a trend, I never had anyone nudge me and say, "hey look at that lady, she looks amazing, love what she did with spongebob on her ass".
When skinny jeans became a trend, I never, ever once had another guy not point it out to me while smirking and giggling at some kid with toothpick legs trying to skateboard in skinny jeans. I'm sure in places like NY everyone is used to the variety of fashion trends but in my area it seems to be a source of behind the back ridicule.

Unfortunately, they want you to react that way. It validates them just like it validates "you just don't get it " hipsters. They thrive on it. When people react that way they think it means they are doing something right.

As long as there be ties, men's fashion will be stupid.

The men's suit is useless for every activity except being buried in.

You know what it is, Karl Lagerfeld and all the other designers make bets to what however silly they can come up with and if they can manipulate enough people trough ads to get those people to actually wear their silly designs.

You know why fashion designers are always so happy ?
Because they are laughing their asses of every evening when they succeed.
And people pay the extreme prices as well ! :)
Because it has a design label.

And then they start to get together and come up with something more silly.

Lasted about 20 seconds of that guy's video. Annoying wise and beautiful woman indeed. Then noticed all of his videos listed on the right have over a million views each. Sad state of affairs we have these days.

Speaking of fashion, are Mexican long-toed boots still a thing?

Agree with what's already been said. When it comes to the 'normal' clothes that we guys wear, my biggest gripe is with pants where the front pockets are slit half way to your knee - slight exaggeration. When you sit, stuff falls out of your pockets. Sorry, not wearing any man-purse or fanny pack.

what do you mean by this?

my issue with pockets is they aren't deep enough and the variation is huge,

I have 2 diff colors of the same pants and the pocket depth in 1 is like 2 inches shorter then the other
