Let's say you are saving up for an item... the item costs $2,000 and it is a non-essential item (IE a want)... You manage to save $1k a year. There is also a similar but not as nice item for $1,000



I think I like the idea of going into a casino and putting the 1k on red after a year, and hoping I double it, vs saving for another year...


Worst case scenario, you lose the 1k, and after another year can afford the $1k item instead of the 2k one.... Best case, you end up with the $2k item in half the time.


I really need to get a new job...

If you hit the casino....please don't bet $1000. The chance of winning anything.....even on roulette aren't worth the gamble. If nothing else, gamble $250 and see where it gets you....then settle for the $1k item.

The best idea is to bet on dozens (i.e. betting on numbers 1-12, 13-24, 25-36).

First bet $100. If you win, great, you're up to $1200. If you lose, bet $200. If you win that, you now have $1300. If you lose, bet $300. If you win, you're now at $1300. If you lose AGAIN, just end yourself... no, bet the remaining $500, and just hope to hell you win.

Chances are you will end up with $1200-1500!!!!!!!one!
