Stupid things your parents say...

Anyone elses parents say some phrases that not only mean absolutely nothing, but they bug they piss outta ya when they say it...

My dads is "I hate to tell you but...." (Of course he dosent hate to tell me, why the hell else would he be saying it except to rub it in my face )

My friends mom always says "The thing about it is..." (Another retarded phrase)

Anyone elses parents do this??

That one is true. My parents have gotten a lot smarter as I have gotten older. You may say it won't happen in your case. I'm willing to wager in about 95% of the people here it will turn out to be true.

i did notce though that my family cant talk to eachother without yelling, like not fighting just screaming something at eachother each sentence getting louder and louder hehe.

lol... that is like my roomate. He keeps getting louder and louder and closer and closer as he talks to you. The closer and closer thing is bad because he hasn't washed or done laundry the whole year so he stinks (I burn incence 24/7 )

lol yah... my first finals in college were like a D average :Q

Much better now. Plus, I am taking more philosophy classes so the midterms and finals consist of writing papers, which I am MUCH better at.

While we're on the topic of our beloved parents, I wanna throw this one at you fellas......

What is it that your parent does or doesn't do to/with you that you will never do/not do with your own kid? What things do you believe they are doing out of goodness of their heart, but has the opposite effect on you?

BTW, my mom always like to say "I've done that 9000 years ago, waiting for you?!?!" and "A good meal is a meal, a shitty meal is a meal. Just stuff it.". I especially hate it when she says the latter right after we have a decent meal. Aargh.

Yup!
When I was about 3-10 years old, my Dad was the smartest guy in the world.
Then when I was about 12-13, he started getting dumber and dumber.
The strangest part is, that when I got to be 19-20, he started getting smarter again.
I never really understood that whole metamorphosis of his.
