Stupid Stupid Question about Dual-Channel Memory

I'm building a new computer as we speak. I can't find it in the motherboard manual but which 2 slots do you put memory in for dual-channel power? I think you put them both in the same color but I wanted to make sure. I have 2 blue DIMM slots and 2 black DIMM slots. I'm planning to put the chips in DIMM1(Blue) and DIMM3(Blue) is this correct? Thanks and sorry for the dumb question.
