pretty shoddy downtime schedule for their North American customers.

I wonder where their servers are located...

Is that rhetorical?

no.

They're in Japan....all of them.

It makes it tough since the JPN players constantly have better pings and therefore faster reaction to camps. 🙁

Maybe they figured that the majority of the palefaced cretins that play 23.5 hours a day would go outside for their annual sunning

Japanese company where NA is just a small part of thier customer base...

I don't think NA is by any means a small part. Less than half, yes. Small? No.

It wouldn't be hard to plan with respect to NA and JPN holidays.

seriously man NA version of this game was released almost 8 months after the Japan/Korea/Tawain and other far east countries...

we are very small potatoes to them..
you dont read much do ya =P

do some reaseach... we are the smallest market for this type of game..
(just happens to be that most companies writing them are US companies that write games for the US where Square Enix and NC Soft its the opposite games are written there for the asian gamers in mind).

the worlds largest most successful MMROPG is Lineage1 Asia takes their gaming very seriusoly... remeber all the Internet cafe deaths from over playing...
