Stupid Shutdown question *ignore*

I can't figure out why my computer stops when stutting down or resetting

It just hangs on the "Windows is shutting down" screen

I'm thinking it's just a setting in the BIOS I haven't set right, but I don't know what.

Specs:
WinXP Home
AOpen AK77 Plus

turn off Hibernate, and it will likely go away. Otherwise it's a running background application that refuses to shutdown properly. If it's the latter, try killing off running apps (like the crap in your tray) one at a time and shutdown afterwards. When you kill of the offender, the machine will shutdown properly, and then you at least know which program is causing the issue, and can take steps to fix it.
